【Courtesy Visit to YB Phoong Jin Zhe in Ministry of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship】
On the 29th April 2023, Malaysian Entrepreneurs Development Association (PUMM) paid a courtesy visit to YB Phoong Jin Zhe, the Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship in Sabah. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship in Kota Kinabalu.
PUMM Sabah State Liaison Chairman, Mr Patrick Chiam thanked YB Phoong for his meeting on behalf of all participants, and appreciated his attention to SMEs, and looking forward for the support of Sabah State Government to the business owners and enterprises in terms of policies and subsidies.
During the visit, YB Phoong shared valuable insights on the development of SMEs in Sabah. He stated that the government is providing significant funds and resources this year to support the growth of SMEs. He emphasized the need to focus on mechanization, automation and digital transformation to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
YB Phoong also highlighted that Sabah currently only has 2% of industries involved in exporting products. He believes that there is still a vast potential for the market to grow and expand.
Moreover, YB Phoong revealed that the Sabah Ministry of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship aims to provide a One-Stop service for SMEs by bringing together resources, business loans, claims, government benefits and various organizations and companies to support the growth of SMEs. This service will be launched in the next half of 2023. Additionally, he expressed the desire to establish a 'Majlis Keusahawan Sabah' to provide a platform for entrepreneurs to network and collaborate.
The PUMM Central Committee, State Committee and Members expressed their appreciation to YB Phoong for his valuable insights and support for the development of SMEs in Sabah. They look forward to working closely with the Ministry of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship to create a conducive environment for SMEs to thrive in Sabah.

【青创会对沙巴州工业及企业发展部长冯晋哲进行礼貌拜访】
马来西亚创业促进会（青创会；PUMM）于2023年4月29日对沙巴州工业及企业发展部长冯晋哲进行了礼貌拜访。在访问期间，冯晋哲向与会者分享了有关沙州中小企业发展的宝贵见解。他表示，政府今年将提供大量资金和资源以支持沙州中小企业的增长，并强调需要注重机械化、自动化和数字化转型以增强生产力和竞争力。
沙巴州联委会主席詹裕俊代表全体与会者感谢冯晋哲部长的接见，并感激他对中小型企业投入的关注度，同时希望沙州政府能在政策和津贴上给予沙州企业更多的支持。
冯晋哲在会中提到，沙州目前只有2%的行业参与出口产品，他认为市场仍有巨大潜力可以扩展。沙州工业及企业发展部旨在通过汇集资源、商业贷款、索赔、政府福利和各种组织和公司来支持中小企业的增长，为中小企业提供一站式服务。该服务将于2023年下半年推出。此外，他还表达了成立 “沙巴州企业理事会”，为企业家提供交流和合作平台。
冯晋哲也祝贺青创会沙巴州联委会在今年迎来八周年庆，并对其在过去八年中为促进沙州经济发展所作出的贡献表示肯定，也期待接下来能够与青创会有更密切的联系。
青创会全体中央理事、州理事以及会员对冯晋哲部长的宝贵见解和对青创会的支持表示感激。他们期待与沙州政府紧密合作，为中小企业在沙州蓬勃发展创造良好的环境。
